John L. Snell papers, 1957-1972 [manuscript].

Chiefly, professional papers of Snell, author and professor of modern German history at Tulane University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of North Carolina, consisting chiefly of correspondence with fellow historians and material related to his service on committees of the American Historical Association and the Southern Historical Association. Unpublished lectures, writings, and notes concerning German history in the 20th century are also included.
